How Clipper Hub is funded, how paid links are labelled, and why the order of the table is not for sale.

1How this is funded
Clipper Hub is free and needs no account. The costs —server, domain, and the time it takes to keep the data and the summaries current— are covered in two ways, and only those two:
- Affiliate links to products and communities related to clipping.
- Sponsorships: slots in the advertising column, booked directly.
A paid subscription for extra features may be added later. What is free today will stay free: see section 6.
2What an affiliate link is
It is a link carrying a tag that identifies where the visit came from. If you buy something after clicking it, the seller pays this site a commission —a share of what the customer pays— without costing you a single cent more: the price is the same as if you had arrived on your own.
This disclosure is published for two reasons: because article 20 of the Spanish LSSI requires commercial communications to be clearly identifiable as such, and because a recommendation that hides the fact that it is paid for is covert advertising, prohibited by Spain's Unfair Competition Act 3/1991. Being legally required does not make it any less the right thing to do.
3Where they are and how to spot them

The links to the campaigns in the ranking and to their rules are not affiliate links: they point straight at each campaign's public page.
4What money does not buy
- A place in the table. Every campaign detected that meets the published technical criteria goes in; nobody pays to get in and nobody is charged for it.
- The position or the score. They are calculated by the same code for every campaign, from the data each one publishes.
- Making a campaign disappear. No campaign is removed because someone dislikes its score. Only miscalculations are corrected, and only what must legally be taken down is taken down.
- A favourable summary. The rule summaries are generated automatically and every answer carries the literal sentence from the original document.
5Why the table cannot be bought
Because the order is decided by a public formula, not by a person. The score from 0 to 10 is made of factors with fixed weights, the same for every campaign, each one taken from a figure the campaign itself publishes, and every campaign's card shows the full breakdown with the number behind each point. It is explained in the guide.
That turns impartiality into something you can check rather than something you have to believe: if a score had been rigged, the breakdown would not match the data anyone can read on the campaign's own page.
6The subscription that is coming
A paid subscription with extra features —alerts, tracking or history— is planned for later on. When it exists:
- the ranking, the scores and the summaries that are free today will stay free;
- paying will not buy better treatment for any campaign or any advertiser;
- and the pricing, the right of withdrawal and cancellation are set out in the legal notice.
7If you think this has been breached
Write to contact@clipperhub.co with the specific case: which row, which ad, and what made you suspicious. Every message gets an answer, and if the mistake is ours it gets fixed and said out loud.
